Jim Wideman Memorial Evensong
Update: Seven of us from Forum attended this service. It had
wonderful organ and choral pieces including pieces from the Evening
Service Colegium Regale by Herbert Howells. It was a great
blessing and a wonderful way to remember our good friend Jim.

Those of us who knew Jim Wideman, one of our long-term members and a
great friend, miss him dearly. After a long fight with cancer, he
passed away in August of 2009.
His wife Esther (a wonderful organist) has worked with the music
director of St Marks Episcopal Church in Philidelphia to plan an
Evensong of Choral and Organ music in memorial of Jim. It will be
at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 16, at St Marks, 1625 Locust St in
Philidelphia.
The Forum made a small contribution to help make this possible
and we hope that many of our members will be able to attend and honor
the memory of our good friend as well as support Esther.
