We all enjoyed Vicky's presentation last September so much we've invited her back.

Discussion: based on book, Inspiration: Hard Questions, Honest Answers by Alden Thompson, Professor of Old Testament at Walla Walla College.

Morning: Speaker: Ron Lawson (our Chaplain): Adventists and the Ordination of Women

(This presentation will give you an rather different understanding of recent events and of the issues involved).

Afternoon: Video: the ordination service at Sligo Church where the first three Adventist women were ordained to the gospel ministry by their local church, followed by a discussion.

Church History Series: led by Terry Anderson (a continuation of our series on the history of the early Christian church). Topic: Post-Nicene Church Litergy, Art and Architecture

Guest Speaker: John Jones (Dean of the School of Religion, La Sierra University). Morning and Afternoon topic: The Way and the Tao: Notes Along the Adventist Pilgrimage

John spent many years teaching in Adventist colleges in Asia, where he studied Asian religion in depth and found himself strongly attracted to it.

Speaker: Emmanuel Erin (on of our members and a graduate student). Topic: How to Study the Bible by Yourself.

Guest Speaker: Dr Gottfried Öosterwal (Anthropologist currently in the School of Business, Andrews University, formerly director of the GC Mission Institute also at Andrews where he taught new missionaries about cultural differences). Topic: to be announced.

Church History Series: led by Terry Anderson (a continuation of our series on the history of the early Christian church). Topic: The Medieval Church Among the Barbarians.
